Welcome to the Archives of The Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture. The purpose of this online collection is to function as a tool for scholars, students, architects, preservationists, journalists and other interested parties. The archive consists of photographs, slides, articles and publications from Goldfinger’s lifetime; physical drawings and models; personal photos and memorabilia; and contemporary photographs and articles.

Some of the materials are in the public domain, some are offered under Creative Commons, and some  are owned by others, including the Goldfinger Estate. Taubman Residence

  • The project scope is to design residence for Adolph Alfred Taubman (1924–2015) and Reva Kolodney (1928-1999). Mr. Taubman is a Midwest shopping center magnate and later Sotheby's chairman.

  • In 1977, the client hires Richard Meier to design the residence with Stephen Lesser as project architect. The residence is completed in 1979.

  • Reva Kolodney passes away on August 17, 1999.

  • A. Alfred Taubman passes away on April 17, 2015 at 91 years old.

  • The Goldfinger project remains unbuilt.
