SpaceMaker Salon Series

23 Beekman Place, Paul Rudolph's legendary home, was host to many famous visitors and events. One night in particular included Ray Eames, Philip Johnson, and Vincent Scully. The group had a lively back-and-forth and it created an environment that Paul wished to continue.

Rudolph’s residence also became known as a place where students could drop in for impromptu discussions about architectural design.

The Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture is pleased to announce our ‘SpaceMaker Salon Series’ to continue a tradition that grew from Paul Rudolph’s desire to encourage debates about important issues surrounding modern architecture.
