Welcome to the Archives of The Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture. The archive consists of photographs, slides, articles and publications from Goldfinger’s lifetime; physical drawings and models; personal photos and memorabilia; and contemporary photographs and articles.

Bluestein Residence

The project scope is to renovate an existing residence for Dr. Sanfurd G. Bluestein (1921-2014) and Fela (Herman) Bluestein (1924-1998). A graduate of Lafayette College, Mr. Bluestein is a dermatologist and one of the first Jews to attend Yale Medical School.
Built in 1916 and designed by Emery Roth, 1000 Park Avenue is a 13-story Gothic-inspired co-op with 70 residences. Mr. Bluestein has a medical office in the building on the ground floor at Unit #1.
