Reese Residence

  • The project scope is to design a residence for Elizabeth Reese (0000-0000). Ms. Reese is Director of Public Relations in charge of publicity and public relations at Raymond Loewy Associates and knows Andrew Geller from work.

  • The budget for the project is $5,000 USD but Geller’s design comes in at $7,000 USD furnished, exclusive of land.

  • In March 1962 the residence is destroyed in a storm.

... a strong-willed, independent career woman, who knew exactly what she wanted – intimate contact with the sea and instant release from her busy schedule in the city. She went about inventing her own style of life at the beach. The sleek and simple lines of the house captured her independent spirit and dynamic lifestyle.
